You NEED a morning ritual - period.

The way you start your day has a profound affect on your health, attitude, productivity, relationships - basically your entire life! 

 

"If you don't have ten spare minutes to work on yourself every morning, then you don't have a life."  Tony Robbins

 

Ever since I read The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod five years ago I have practiced a morning routine.  The book is THAT convincing - and life changing, I highly recommend you get a copy, do the exercises and start living your one beautiful life to the fullest this New Year!

 

At first I followed the book's recommended morning routine exactly.  Then I added some new practices (face exercises, meditation, rebounding) and dropped others (exercise - I feel I can give it my ALL later in the day).

 

I believe these are the non-negotiable components of a morning routine:

1) Gratitude

2) Affirmations

3) Journal

4) Prayer

5) Inspirational reading

6) Goals for the day (baby steps!)

 

I spend 3-4 minutes on each of the above, and if I get up late I can all five steps in 10 minutes - serious!  It's an abbreviated version of my 30 minute routine but it still puts me in a positive and productive frame of mind ready to tackle the day!
